Mobile & Service Robots
Mobile and service robots leave the factory floor for streets, offices, hospitals, hotels and industrial sites. Their makers are a varied group, from legged-robot specialists to delivery, cleaning and security robot companies.

Legged and inspection robots
Legged robots walk where wheels struggle: stairs, gratings, rubble and uneven industrial sites. The Humanoid Group lists quadrupeds from Boston Dynamics, ANYbotics, Unitree, Ghost Robotics and Deep Robotics, used for inspection, research and site monitoring. Many carry payloads such as thermal cameras, gas sensors or laser scanners. When comparing them, look at runtime, weather rating, payload options, autonomy software and how inspection data reaches the teams who act on it.
Delivery and transport robots
Delivery robot makers build machines for the last stretch of a journey, on pavements, campuses and private sites. THG lists pavement and road delivery robots from Starship Technologies, Kiwibot, Coco, Nuro and Neolix, alongside drone delivery from Wing and cargo drones from makers such as Dronamics and Elroy Air. Rules on where these robots may operate vary by country and city, so check local regulations before planning a deployment.
Cleaning, security and home robots
Service robots for buildings are among the most visible robots in daily life. THG lists commercial cleaning robots from Pudu Robotics and Gausium, patrol robots from Knightscope, Cobalt Robotics and Ascento, and home robots from makers such as Roborock, Ecovacs, iRobot and Husqvarna. Commercial buyers should compare coverage, autonomy, reporting and integration with lifts and doors, while home buyers weigh navigation, maintenance and the quality of the companion app.

Common questions
Are robot dogs only for research?
No. Many quadrupeds are used for industrial inspection and site monitoring, as well as research and education. Payloads and software differ widely between makers.
Can I buy a delivery robot for my campus?
Some makers supply robots for private sites, while others mainly run delivery services themselves. Check each listing on The Humanoid Group, or request a quote.
